Smart Vision
Individualization down to a batch size of 1, cost pressure and quality standards, but also the emergence of new, more efficient technologies, ensure that production processes are constantly developing. It is not unusual for a "smart factory" to be expected to meet all requirements at the same time. However, a company that fails to focus on core needs will end up losing money and its competitive edge.
The smart factory is the answer to the questions of industry 4.0. Consistent vertical and horizontal networking is the basis of digitalization and hence also of the smart factory. The entire value chain is interlinked. People, machines, systems, and products are digitally interlinked in a way that facilitates process automation. Ultimately, this means that the smart factory accelerates manufacturing processes, makes them more flexible and less expensive, while allowing resources to be used as efficiently as possible.
Important goals of a retrofit of industrial machines and plants, are factors such as stability of the processes, the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) or the saving of resources. The procedure model serves as a guide for building up suitable bases and questions in the planning of a retrofit.
